March 24, 2010..
On march 24, 2010 what started as a simple ride to my local shop to swap a couple of tires on one of my bikes ended up almost costing me my life. I am never one to preach to anyone about what they should or should not do in life, but keep this in mind. The only reason that I survived the motorcycle accident was because some good people took a few minutes out of their day to donate blood. I would have died on the table that day had I not had the 11 units of blood to keep me alive. I have had to wait one year post accident before I can donate my blood due to the trasfusion. If you want to do something that might save a life, please onate blood. It is a few minutes out of your day and you never know when the shoe could be on the other foot and it is your life on the line. I wouldn't be here without a transfusion and the best gift that I can give someone is a second chance at life like I have now. Call the Red Cross and they can come to your office and do a blood drive or you can go to a local donation center and do it on your lunch break.
